Riverside County’s First Cannabis Dispensary

THOUSAND PALMS, June 7, 2022 – The first cannabis dispensary in Thousand Palms, an unincorporated Riverside County community, has opened. Also the first cannabis outlet for unincorporated Eastern Riverside County, Bulldog Cannabis features a high tech 15,000 sq. ft. facility that encompasses a cultivation area of five grow rooms and dispensary under the same roof. Expansion plans include space for special events.

Committed to sustainability, the cultivation area features two-tier vertical LED grow rooms outfitted with custom patented hydraulic moving platforms filled with high porosity soil and plants that also incorporate water conservation practices. Special custom-created tables add to efficiency as well. A view into the trim room will be available to all customers, and full tours will be available as well as educational classes for seniors and the cannacurious. Beyond sustainability, Bulldog is making an extra commitment to quality with a pheno-hunting specialist on staff who has selected the best phenotypes so clients can be assured of experiencing only the finest available. They are also incorporating in-house genetics and mother programs, as well as a full array of other carefully curated premium products. Bulldog will also offer white label top shelf flower/cannabis to other California dispensaries.

Founded and self funded by father and son Sam and Levon Kapukchyan and staffed by veteran cannabis professionals, Bulldog Cannabis was inspired by the iconic Bulldog Coffeeshop in Amsterdam, where the term “coffeeshop” was first coined by the owner as he wanted to make a connection with teahouses, which served as “living rooms” for neighborhood residents. The name Bulldog? Named after his beloved four legged friend Joris, an English Bulldog.

“We are very excited to be part of this community,” says the elder Kapukchyan. “We’ve already joined several chambers and are looking at supporting several nonprofits including, of course, our nearby neighbor Animal Samaritans.”

Located just across I-10 from Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage and near Sun City, Bulldog Cannabis will be open 8am – 10pm Monday – Saturday and 8am – 8pm on Sunday. Bulldog Cannabis is located at 72242 Watt Court in Thousand Palms and will also be offering free delivery within 15 miles of their dispensary. Learn more at bulldogcannabis.com.
